Oh boy. Looks like *he* has gotten bitten by the barbecue bug. He and his neighbour did all the work while I sit down and relax- well, technically, I'm writing this post while doing my assignment but let's not get technical. Poor picture quality but that's as good as it gets with web cam.

It's becoming harder and harder not to be a pessimist. My brother and I was talking in the afternoon as I sat at the dining table while my brother was doing the laundry right next to the front door. We laughed and catch up with what's going on with our lives when suddenly, a scream was heard. My brother saw the whole thing first hand: a guy in a motorcycle and a guy hitting the woman whose purse he was snatching. The both of us ran out with me ridiculously welding an umbrella and my brother shoeless but it was too late. The guys in the motorcycle were too fast. My brother ran for one kilometer before giving up and later he went to console the woman. Luckily, she had no injuries but shaken up.

Of course this is a typical story of a snatch theft but what shook the both of us up was the fact that it happened right in front of our house. It also didn't help when we realized the fact that we were the only ones who went to the woman's help while everyone else stood at their doors or peeking from their windows, some of which were actually close enough to catch the assholes if they just walk out of their houses.

It was a disheartening incident to witness.

To lighten things up, my sister and I just watched The Rite. Now, the two of us scaddycats were practically camping under our blankets for at least a third of the movie but it was pretty good. Colin O'Donoghue is easy on the eyes as Michael Kovak, a reluctant priest-in-training who questions his faith.

Admittedly, I am someone (if you haven't read my past posts) where it doesn't take much of an effort to frighten the living out of me so horror movie enthusiasts, take my word for it with a pinch of salt.

However, pranks where people jump up at me behind my knowledge is not recommended. Take the asshole who attempted to snatch my bag (and had the nerve to tear the handle into two! grr) and drag me for a good 100 meters on the rough tar road. My sister and I both showed our appreciation by beating the daylights out of him, so much so that his partner on the motorcycle almost sped off and the attacker had to ran after him.

Girl power :)
