Daria is bacccccckkkk, bitches!

via Elle

Happy to see her in the pages of magazines and she was everywhere in KLCC! Phew. It's means she's going back on her word to retire by the age of 25, eh? Well, I am glad for that.

So, I have been doing a lot of shopping recently after lifting a self-imposed exiled that lasted two whole years. Pretty proud of that fact that I could actually suppress the urge to shop. Of course now it has been especially helpful, seeing how many dresses and shirts and jeans and shoes and rings and bracelets I want. That is just from retail outlets with Topshop and Topman (their wallet is the coolest! Bought my brand new one from there. It has zips and everything! *squeals*) becoming my personal kyptonite. Can you imagine the blogshopshere with countless of blogs waiting? The temptation is great, with just a click away…

Only thing stopping me is fear. What if that dress doesn't look anything like the picture? The fact that my sister had once ordered a bag that looked so pretty in the photos, the colour was a striking, deep burgundy. When we received it (late by a month, no less!) it was plainly not. Poorly made, the low quality faux-leather bag turned into a heapless rag in a mere month. Of course, there are many people with wholly different experiences but it is hard to let go and take the plunge again. It is not so much of the money although it do counts but it is more of the time spent patiently awaiting its arrival and when that excitement and dreams of actually getting the dream dress/pants/whatever are crushed into bitter disappointment.

It is pretty much the exact reason why some people are afraid of getting into a relationship. Relationships, I could take the chance but (online) shopping? People are unpredictable to begin with but to mingle the bad memories with all the good of my personal chosen therapy and by own personal choice? No sirree.

That's where retail rescues me (and kicks me right back into financial hell again with their extravagant price tags) So many things to see and lust over and buy! On the top of my head, here's the list of things I am currently saving my money for, for the hopes of getting my hands on a piece of it someday:

1. Polaroid camera: Fuji Instax Mini 7s. I have always wanted a polaroid camera ever since I was in primary school. We were visiting the site of a village that was recently burned to the dust by a devastating fire to calculate how much it is to rebuilt it since the club my dad was a part of was organizing a fund-raising charity event for it. Then I saw it, the Polaroid. My dad's friend was taking pictures for the newsletter and I fell in love over the camera's ability to instantly develop a photograph with a simple click of a button. So glad that it's back in popularity again!

2. Any Topshop and Topman accessories. Other shops like Diva are too overly ornamental with flowers and cute little butterflies everywhere on the rings and necklaces. Not for Topshop and Topman though, they are just perfect! Except for the pricing. That's the clincher.

3. Mary-Janes. No brand preferences but just that it looks and feel awesome when worn and fits perfectly.

4. Bleach Official Character Guide No. Two. I saw the original Japanese version of it at Kinokuniya but the English version would probably take another year or two to be translated, checked for errors, published and released etc etc. Still can't believe Tite Kubo actually drew the previous Kenpachi! My sis and I were squealing as we flipped through the book.

5. More shirts. I'm done wearing the same thing over and over again. Boring~

6. End of the year trip with the girls! And another trip with family XD

Come the June holidays, I'll be taking up a job. Life is getting pricier by the minute. Plus, my mom's telling me that they're increasing the prices for food again, later this year :(

ps I HATE photoshop. maybe I just can't seem to wrap my head over the program's mechanism. More practice then
