Yes Raj, I was and is still totally infatuated with your fish application thingie, whatever it is called. Honestly, how can anyone resist not feeding them? And okay, I am totally bored right now.
Anyway, I recently watched the much hyped-up The King's Speed starring Colin Firth, Helena Bonham Carter and Geoffrey Rush and I've only one word to describe it: Quietly Awe-inspiring!
I can honestly say that it is one of the best show I've seen in a few years, unlike Brad Pitt's reverse lifeline Benjamin Button which I found to be missing the extra 'something' to really put it in my personal list of great movies.
ps I have no idea why women think Brad Pitt is hot. Sure, he has perfect symmetry all over but devilishly handsome like some women had reckoned, I think not. Plus it does not help that I am in Team Jen. But hey, different people with various tastes so what can I say?
Enough about my inability to appreciate Brad Pitt's looks, it was totally out of topic. I love how Helena speaks in the movie, so polish and such a believable English blue blood. Despite not watching Colin Firth's version of Pride and Prejudice (which every other female who watched all three adaptations agree that he makes a smokin' hot Fitzwilliam Darcy although honestly, he's not my cup of tea), I have to say, he does fit the role of an aristocracy perfectly, looks and all.
And here's the synopsis:
Tells the story of the man who became King George VI, the father of Queen Elizabeth II. After his brother abdicates, George ('Bertie') reluctantly assumes the throne. Plagued by a dreaded stammer and considered unfit to be king, Bertie engages the help of an unorthodox speech therapist named Lionel Logue. Through a set of unexpected techniques, and as a result of an unlikely friendship, Bertie is able to find his voice and boldly lead the country through war.
The acting was superb with some quietly funny moments (my favourite would be when Helena's Elizabeth visit Geoffrey's Lionel for the first time) and memorably touching. Need I say more? Go watch it!
