As a lover of all things pretty, I found an ingenious way for combining my obsession of the pretty with my love for books and me taking graphics design: be a book cover designer!

It's big business in the Big Apple and from some of the professional's insider information on the industry (that I've read on their blogs of course), I am all into it. I can totally see myself doing just that in ten years. Anyway, there is a handful of Best Book Cover poll annually and the covers are amazing. Here are my current top tens:

E-Books are so not a trend I will be getting into. I just love the crisp smell of paper and ink, the font of the words, the texture of the paper and the solidness of the book. I don't think I'll ever give buying a real book up! Scratch that: I want my own personal library with mahogany corner book shelves that is built from floor to ceiling like Professor Henry Higgins's study room in My Fair Lady! Plus I'll read every single book, it ain't to fit the colour deco for me, darls.
